Furniture Restoration with Printed Vinyl

This was a fun project!

I have had this dresser since I was about 12, it's never had handles because I removed the original ones and never got around to replacing them... so for 16 years it's been handle-less. CRAZY!

I've always wanted to restore it and paint funky patterns on it - however I am a perfectionist and the idea of using paint to get perfect patterns was just not going to happen. THEN... I thought - why don't I design exactly what I want and print it onto vinyl?? This will save so much time and i'll get my perfect patterns! I wasn't sure if I could pull it off, but it turned out so much better than expected. I lightly sanded it, filled up some old holes with filler, painted 2 coats of a white undercoat with Splash paint, then 2 black top coats. Got my partner (he's a signwriter) to print and stick the vinyl on, finished it off with some black handles and there you have it!
